  Alan Dempsey has been selected as one of 15 future leaders in architecture and design from an international field. Published by Plan magazine for their April 2010 issue, he was selected in recognition of work to date at NEX and his ongoing research at the Architectural Association. Other figures chosen alongside him include Alejandro Arvena, Iwan Baan, Paul Finch, Niall McLaughlin, and Moritz Waldemeyer.
