Consultation
Our name Nex comes from Nexus, meaning a focal point of connection in a group. In all our activities we aim to be the point of connection that coordinates partners, collaborators and stakeholders to the benefit of all. We understand that this role changes over the course of a project from at times being a leader to a listener and an enabler. We have expertise in arranging and leading a range of consultation activities such as Interviews and Observation, Behavoural Mapping, Design Workshops and Charettes, Exhibitions and Experience Prototyping.
Our record of successful engagement with stakeholders is evident in our 100% record of securing planning and listed building consents, and from the strong community support we have generated for our projects. At the Duke of York Square we engaged with non-technical members of the local community to address concerns about a contemporary building in a heritage context. At the RAF Museum we led workshops with staff, the local community, and accessibility consultees to ensure the project exceeded stakeholder and Heritage Lottery Fund expectations.
